The Cher and the city of Bourges maintain the memory of the era that has largely shaped them: the XVth Century. During this one, of all the characters that marked Berry and France stand out the King Charles VII, Duke Jean de Berry and Jacques Coeur great silversmith of the King of France.
In literature, it was at the beginning of the 20th century that two writers built their work imbued with their original region, the Haut-Berry: Alain-Fournier author of the "Grand Meulnes", and Marguerite Audoux, Femina Prize, with "Marie Claire".
