Bring your children along to experience everything that Touraine has for kids; over 2 days you'll amaze them. You'll see cave houses, where people have chosen to live underground, and the dungeons and keeps where prisoners were held against their will, and you'll visit the house of the genius Leonardo da Vinci and a fascinating animal park. There is no shortage of surprises awaiting you in the land of the kings.
You will have your stay in a property with 2 ha (5 acres) of meadowland and animals (sheep, donkeys, a chicken run)
Our suggestion:
Day one
- The underground quarry at Vignemont, where you'll learn all about the regions famous tuffeau limestone and about the time when men worked the quarry for the stone used to build the Loire Valleys finest buildings.
- The Keep in Loches, built in the 11th and 15th centuries, where a number of illustrious historical figures were imprisoned: Cardinal Balue, Philippe de Commines and Ludovic Sforza, who decorated the walls of his cell. Reconstitution of the Louis XI cage and a dungeon, in keeping with the eerie atmosphere which pervades the place.
You dine as guests of your hosts.
Day two
- The Manoir du Clos Lucé in Amboise has 40 models of the amazing machines invented by Leonardo da Vinci.
- Lunch at the Domaine de Beaumarchais.
- The Beaumarchais animal reserve: on board the little train you can see the game bred in France: wild boar, stags and fallow deer, buffalo, ostriches, Corsican mouflon and many other species.

Day one
- The Manoir du Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci lived. Here you can see the plans of 40 fabulous machines that the genius architect invented, four centuries ahead of his time, from which IBM has built models.
Day Two
- The Mini-Châteaux Park, where the Loire Valley châteaux, from Sully-sur-Loire to Angers, have been rebuilt at 1/25th scale in a park of 2 ha (5 acres). There is also a 3D moving cinema experience called the flying machine.
Lunch at the Novotel Amboise. Special menu for chilcdren.
- The Chanteloup Pagoda was built in 1775 by the Duke of . There are historical outdoor games and you can go on a boat trip.

Description
Nohant, in the heart of the Berry, amongst the shadows of the memories of George Sand and Chopin, plays host to the annual Romantic Festivals and International Chopin Encounters which between them recreate some of the great moments of 19th century musical creation.

The Nohant Romantic Festivals:
A selection of recitals and conferences held on the Nohant estate on the theme of Romanticism, with the participation of many well-known performers and artists.
International Chopin Encounters:
Chopin’s music studied and discussed from a particular angle. Concerts and master classes are held at the theatre in La Châtre or at Nohant itself.

CIRCUIT MARGUERITE

Pluck a different petal each day from a three-star hotel in the heart of the beautiful nature-park we call the Sologne.
There are seven altogether, each an excursion of at least 50km pluck a new one every day, by car, on a bicycle, on foot, as you will, and discover the principal towns of the Loir-et-Cher - Blois, Chambord, Chaumont-sur-Loire, Montrichard, Romorantin-Lanthenay (capital of the Sologne) Heritage, events, nature and gastronomy are waiting for you.

Programme:
First day: Contres Chaumont-sur-Loire Contres. 65
A day of History and Heritager in the Vallée de La Loire and the Sologne, with visits to the Châteaux de Fougères-sur-Bièvre (XV Century), Chaumont-sur-Loire (XV XVI centuries) overlooking the Loire, and the Château de Troussay, near Cheverny (furnished and occupied Renaissance country house).
Second day: Contres Montrichard Contres. 53 km.
Nature, Gastronomy and Heritage in the Vallée du Cher. Today you'll visit the Abbaye de Pontlevoy, at Montrichard you'll take a cruise on the Cher and see falcons and hawks flown from the wrist during the display of the Eagles of Montrichard in the ruins of the ancient Keep. At Bourré discover the Magnanerie, an underground site with a silkworm hatchery. Finish the day with a wine tasting at Oisly.
Third day: Contres Chambord Contres. 60 km.
The Sologne and its historic past open their doors to you with visits to the Château de Cheverny and its famous pack of hounds (XVII century, inhabited private property), the Château de Villesavin and its museum of vintage and veteran cars, the discovery of the antiques of Bracieux, followed by a tour of the Château de Chambord, a chef duvre of French Renaissance architecture, and its fauna and flora..
Fourth day: Contres Blois Contres. 60 km.
Explore the old city of Blois, with its famous Château, the Maison Denis Papin (Inventor of the steam engine, born in Blois in 1647), and the Basilica of Notre Dame de La Trinité.
Fifth day: Contres Romorantin-Lanthenay Contres
A day among the woods and lakes of the Sologne, starting with the Lac de Soings-en-Sologne, pausing in Romorantin-Lanthenay, capital of the region to see the old half-timbered houses, with a visit to the Museum of Sologne, the church of Saint-Etienne, the Chapelle Saint-Roch and the Museum of Automobile Racing. On to a relaxing view of the Etang (lake) de Paris, followed by a halt at Lassay-sur-Croisne to visit the Château du Moulin (XV century, furnished and inhabited).
Sixth day: Contres Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher Contres. 70 km.
A day in the Vallée du Cher following the tourist trail among the Touraine-Val de Loire vineyards.
Visit to a farm that specialises in foie gras, at Méhers. A look at the ancient Manoir de Beauregard. Visit the bridge carrying the Berry Canal at Châtillon-sur-Cher. Continue to Meusnes to see the Flint Museum and the church. Tour of the Château de Valençay. Return to Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher to visit the Collegial and the Château.
The day finishes with a wine-tasting visit in Oisly and a meeting of the Confrérie des Vignerons de Oisly.
Seventh day: Contres Chenonceaux Contres: 70 kilomètres
Tour Chenonceaux: the château (and taste the château wines), see the Wax Museum, followed by a boat trip.
Off to Chissay-en-Touraine to discover the Distillerie Fraise-Or, specialising in fruit brandies and liqueurs.
